New York State Police say they conducted a traffic stop on a 1999 Mitsubishi Mirage on Interstate 84 in the town of Southeast for a violation on Wednesday, April 3 at around 3:30 p.m.
Further investigation revealed that the driver, identified as Zef Lulgjuraj of the Bronx, was in possession of approximately 4.2 grams of amphetamine pills, according to police.
Lulgjuraj was arrested and charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a Class C felony. He was arraigned before the town of Southeast Court and remanded to the Putnam County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or $2,000 secure bond.
Lulgjuraj was scheduled to return to court on Tuesday, April 9.
